Monticello man suspected of 4th OWI

A Monticello man was arrested on suspicion of fourth-offense operating while intoxicated after he was spotted driving erratically in Madison, according to a release from Madison police.

Madison police said Jamie L. Bartels, 53, was spotted around 3 a.m. Friday driving an SUV erratically in the Verona Road construction zone and nearly striking orange barrels.

Bartels also turned against a red arrow onto Raymond Road, according to a police report. He was then pulled over and arrested.
