Montee Ball arrested in Whitewater, accused of bail jumping

Former Badgers running back and NFL player Montee Ball was arrested Saturday night in Whitewater on suspicion of felony bail jumping.
According to police documents, Whitewater police were sent to 841 Brewhouse for reports that Ball was at a bar drinking, which was against his bond conditions.
The bond conditions were set after he was charged with domestic battery in Dane County.
Police said Ball denied he had been drinking, but witnesses said they saw him consume alcohol and officers could smell alcohol on him.
Ball was arrested at 9:25 p.m. at 179 W. Main St., according to the documents.
He was released on $1,000 cash bail.
Ball was bound over for trial in Dane County court Monday on charges of strangulation and suffocation, substantial battery with intent to do bodily harm, and disorderly conduct.
