Police: Robber demands cash, implies he's armed

Monroe police are investigating a bank robbery Thursday, April 13 where a man demanded cash at the teller window and fled on foot, officials said.

Monroe police were notified just before 2 p.m. of the robbery at the Associated Bank at 1420 11th St. in Monroe’s downtown area, according to a release.

A man entered the bank and demanded cash at the teller window, officials said. A weapon was inferred but not seen.

Monroe police release bank robbery surveillance videoThe robber is described as white, in his 30s, wearing all black clothing, including a black, hip-length parka-type jacket with a hood and sunglasses.

After getting the cash, he left the area through residential yards to the north of the bank, officials said.

No one was injured.

Monroe Police released surveillance video Friday, April 21 showing the robber entering the bank and approaching the counter.
