Monona police investigate vandalism along West Broadway, including mural

MONONA, Wis. — Monona police took several reports Monday morning of graffiti along West Broadway, including a mural.
Monona Police Chief Walter Ostrenga told News 3 the department received multiple reports starting around 7:40 a.m. of graffiti along West Broadway starting near the bridge over the Yahara River.
Ostrenga said there was graffiti reported on bridges, telephone poles and trees, along with a Native American mural on the city’s south side water pumping station at 6500 Raywood Road.
According to a release, private homes on Winnequah Road and sidewalks in the area of Bridge Road were also vandalized.
Police believe the vandalism happened Sunday overnight into Monday.
