Missing woman believed to be in Madison area found safe

Silver Alert has been canceled

MADISON, Wis. — A missing Washington County woman who officials said was last known to be in the Madison area has been found safe.

Officials said Laurie Janke, 64, had been missing since 8:30 a.m. Friday from her home in Allenton, Wisconsin. She was believed to be in the Madison, Middleton and Fitchburg areas during the day Friday.

A Silver Alert for Janke has been canceled.
