Missing Iowa woman found safe in Dane County

A missing Iowa woman who was last seen in Sauk City was found safe in Dane County.

Patricia Monson, 77, of Clear Lake, Iowa, was last seen Monday at 11 p.m. at a Kwik Trip in Sauk Prairie. She was headed toward Madison.

Employees said she was confused and didn’t know how to pump gas. She said she was going to Sun Prairie and also said she might go back to Iowa.

Employees called police, but she left before officers arrived.

She was last seen going east on Highway 12 toward Madison. Just before 1 p.m., the Silver Alert was canceled and officials said she was found safe in Dane County,
