Middleton man arrested on suspicion of fourth OWI

A Middleton man was arrested on suspicion of his fourth OWI offense late Monday night, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office..

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on County Highway N near Vinburn Road in the Town of Bristol.

According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to a car crash called in by a passing motorist. Deputies found the driver, Manuel Carranza-Ortega, 22, and observed he was consuming intoxicants. He was arrested on suspicion of felony operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, since it was his fourth offense in 5 years.

Nobody was hurt in the crash.
