Current owners Tim and Kevin Metcalfe (pictured above with Tim’s daughter Amanda Metcalfe) are the great-grandsons of the founders, Henry and Teresa Hess. Hilldale shoppers will remember Tom & Margaret Metcalfe’s customer appreciation brat frys on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Since those humble beginnings in 1983, the World’s Largest Brat Fest, now hosted at Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center, has raised nearly $2 million for local charities and served hundreds of thousands of brats!
