Men steal pastor’s cash, bible

The pastor of a Madison area church was robbed of cash and his bible during an armed robbery outside his home, according to a release from Madison police.

Police said the 57-year-old pastor was going to his car in the 5800 block of Raymond Road around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to get a leather bag containing his bible and other pastoral items. He was approached by two hooded men while he walked back to his house.

The pastor told police one man held a hard object to his back and demanded money. He pulled out his wallet and gave the robbers cash, and the robbers took the leather bag, according to the release.
