Memorial girls, La Follette boys win city track championships

The Memorial girls and La Follette boys win the Madison City track and field championships Tuesday evening at Mansfield Stadium.
Madison Edgewood’s Amy Davis won the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:41.27, breaking Memorial’s Katie Ishmael’s city record set in 1981. Her teammate Ave Grosenheider won the 800 and 1600 meter runs.
La Follette’s Oren Henerson-Zintz won the 100 meter dash and long jump.
West senior Jack Wellenstein broke his own meet record in the boys 400 meters, with a time of 4:09.38.
