Melvin Gordon says knee is “fine”

Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon says his left knee is fine, and that he’ll be ready to go when the Badgers return to the field next week against Northwestern.
Otherwise, Wisconsin’s bye week comes at an opportune time for the Big Ten’s leading rusher.
Gordon left the in the second half of last week’s 31-24 at Ohio State that dropped the Badgers out of the AP Top 25. The talented sophomore said he expected to be a full participant at practice Wednesday.
Coach Gary Andersen also said earlier this week that Gordon should be OK. Gordon is averaging a conference-leading 139.6 yards per game.
Tight end Jacob Pedersen said this week he also expects to return next week from a left knee injury.
