Meeting scheduled to go over Hwy. 134 safety improvements
Project scheduled to start in 2016 includes flattening out curves, resurfacing

CAMBRIDGE, Wis. — A public meeting is scheduled to discuss the safety improvements to Highway 134 between Highway 12 and County O in Dane County, according to a release.
The proposed project includes reconstructing Highway 134 from 200 feet south of State Farm Road to 200 feet north of Britzke Road, according to the release. The horizontal curves will be flattened to improve safety, and the State Farm and Britzke roads intersections will be realigned.
Highway 134 will also be resurfaced from Highway 12 to the south reconstruction limit and from the north reconstruction limit to the Main Street intersection in London, officials said. The project also includes removing and replacing the box culvert located 750 feet south of the Britzke Road intersection and replacing five small cross-culverts.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting scheduled from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Cambridge Village hall at 200 Spring St., officials said. Maps showing the proposed alternatives will be on display. Representatives from the consulting firm of Donohue and Associates and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will also be available to answer questions.
The project is scheduled to start construction in 2016.
