Medical examiner: Man died from machine falling on him
Hudzinski was victim of workplace accident
MADISON, Wis. — A forensic investigation completed on Friday indicated a Middleton man’s death was the direct result of an 800-pound piece of equipment falling on him during a workplace accident, according to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Terry Hudzinski, 45, was killed on Thursday morning when a hydraulic press tipped onto him as he was removing it from a truck on Madison’s West Side, authorities said.
The incident occurred while Hudzinski was working in the 500 block of Rosa Road, near Mineral Point Road, according to police.
Police said Hudzinski wasn’t breathing when officers arrived. He was rushed to a local hospital.
Authorities said the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety & Health Administration will investigate the incident.
