Med Flight responds to UTV crash that injured 26-year-old
A Lafayette County man was flown Monday night by medical helicopter to a hospital after he was injured in a off-road vehicle crash, officials said.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s office said deputies responded at 10:32 p.m. to County Road O in the town of Shullsburg for a report of an UTV accident.
A 26-year-old Benton man was heading south on Country O when he failed to negotiate a turn, which caused his 2016 UTV to roll several times, according to the report.
Sheriff Reg Gill said the man was transported via UW Med Flight because of possible pelvic and internal injuries. The extent of his injuries wasn’t known Tuesday morning, Gill said.
The man was cited on suspicion of failure to keep a vehicle under control, expired registration, excessive speed and no display of registration, the sheriff’s office said.
