Med Flight responds to rollover semi crash; 2 injured

Two people were injured in a semi rollover crash Friday near Sun Prairie, officials said.
The Sun Prairie Fire Department said firefighters responded to the report of two people pinned in a semi-trunk after a rollover crash at 11:35 a.m. on Stone Quarry Road in the town of Bristol. Crews used the Jaws of Life to free the man and woman inside.
The woman was transported to the hospital via Med Flight, and a man was taken by ambulance, the fire department said.
In a traffic alert Friday afternoon, Sun Prairie police said motorists should avoid Highway 151 north from Bristol Street “due to current traffic congestion from a traffic accident.”
The state Department of Transportation said the right lane on Highway 151 northbound at Bristol Street was briefly closed. Normal traffic flow in the area had resumed by 4:20 p.m., according to an alert.
In a news release, Fire Lt. Becky Gruber said there were no updates about the man and woman’s conditions as of about 4:15 p.m. Friday.
