A man accused of killing his half-brother this summer will be extradited from Washington state to Dane County.

Staffers for Washington Gov. Chris Gregorie confirmed Thursday that Jeffrey Vogelsberg will be sent back next month to face a homicide charge.

Dane County prosecutors have charged Vogelsberg with killing Matthew Graville, 27, in their Mazomanie home in July. Authorities arrested Vogelsberg last month in Washington. He had moved there to be with his wife, who is stationed at a military base near Tacoma.

Graville’s body was found near Lone Rock in November. He had been missing for four months.

Vogelsberg refused to waive extradition to Wisconsin. Gov. Scott Walker sent Gregorie a rendition warrant, which is essentially a request for Gregorie to ship Vogelsberg to Wisconsin.
