Mayor Soglin encourages Madison citizens to donate to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
MADISON, Wis. — Houston’s mayor Turner established a relief fund for Hurricane Harvey that will accept tax deductible donations, and Madison mayor Soglin encourages Wisconsin to contribute.
An overwhelming amount of inquiries for donations from citizens and corporations pushed for the creation of this fund, which will be administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
“We are getting calls from across the country and right here in our hometown, and the generosity of people who understand this disaster is truly amazing,” Mayor Turner. “Together, we can make a difference to those who will need extensive help to get back on their feet once this storm is over.”
