Maurita Ann Reisinger, beloved mother and sister, left this earthly home on June 17, 2017. She is survived by her children Ed – McFarland, Bob (Patty) – Lakewood, Colorado, Dick (Annita) – Newburgh, Indiana, Sue (Bob) Hoffman – Madison, and Marty – McFarland, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, sister Marcy, half-brother Kenny Newberry (Kovter) – Mississippi, step-brother Harold Burgard (Dorothy) – Madison, brother-in-law John Reisinger (Kay) – Bellevue, Nebraska, sister-in-laws Ann Reisinger – Plain, Leona Reisinger – Madison, Lucille Reisinger – Middleton, Catherine Maier – Cross Plains, Ann Maier – Mazomanie, Clara Pertzborn – Lodi, and Helene Dederich (Venance), Vernon Hills, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward and daughter Joy Reisinger, brother John Hunt, sisters Hazel Dalberg, Sharon Newberry and Mary Gage, her parents Bill and Sylvia Hunt, Henry and Camilla Newberry, six brothers-in-law, and four sisters-in-law.
Maurita retired from Dane County and enjoyed many years of travel, camping, and volunteering. She was a member of Christ the King Church, Good Sam, Wisingles, Dane County retirees, and the McFarland RSVP sewing group. She will be remembered by the many quilts that she made for family, friends, and RSVP.
A memorial service will be at 6 pm on Wednesday, June 21 with visitation from 4 pm to 6 pm at Cress Funeral Home, McFarland. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at Christ the King Catholic Church, McFarland. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona.
