Mary Jo Hess-Garcia

Mary Jo Hess-Garcia, age 56 of Littleton, Colorado, formerly of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in Englewood, Colorado.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells with Father Eric Sternberg celebrating. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Mauston, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Mary Jo was born January 2, 1960 in Mauston, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Tony Hess and Shirley (Holman) Kaminski of Wisconsin Dells. She graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1978. Later, she moved to Colorado and married Fred Garcia in September of 1990.
Throughout her life Mary Jo took great pride being a part of the restaurant industry. Her strong work ethic, love of interacting with the clientele and desire to make their experience most enjoyable, built incredibly strong relationships and friendships throughout the Wisconsin Dells and Denver, Colorado areas. Every person that crossed Mary Jo’s path loved her and a lifelong friendship was born. She had the most loving, gentlest, and kindest soul. Her mother and Dad were very proud of the woman she was.
Mary Jo’s family and friends were her life. Even though she lived in Colorado, she maintained her love for the Packers and Wisconsin, as it was her home and brought her great happiness. She had an unwavering, strong relationship with her mother. Mary Jo kept in touch almost daily with her sister in law and very close friend, Lisa, as keeping the home connection was so important to her. She cherished her sisters and brothers as well as all of her cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary Jo was so very thoughtful as she never missed anyone’s birthday. This demonstrated the very importance of others to her. Mary Jo loved to laugh and reminisce as people throughout her life never lost the importance. The love she shared with all of us will be deeply missed.
Mary Jo is survived by her husband, Fred of Littleton, Colorado; mother, Shirley (Fred) Kaminski of Wisconsin Dells; sisters, Ann (Doug) Twietmeyer of Phoenix, Arizona and Lisa Guzman of Crystal Lake, Illinois; brothers, Paul (Lisa) Hess of Wisconsin Dells and John (Bridget) Hess of Baraboo, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews, Tara, Max, Dillon, Dustin, Josh, Tanner, Nina, Isaac, Heaven and Angel as well as her loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Tony.
