Martha Stewart

Martha Stewart, 80, of Fort Atkinson, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 11, 2016.
Martha was born in Mansfield, LA on July 3, 1935, the daughter of Hershey and Betty Prothro. On August 16, 1952 she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Stewart.
Martha was employed for over 40 years by what is now known as Double 3 Transportation.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church where she served as secretary for several years.
Martha enjoyed traveling, cooking and entertaining her friends and spending time with her family.
Martha is survived by daughters, Lynell (Perry) Swenson of Hayward, WI, Linda (Frank) Fox of Erie, CO and Laurie (Jim) Ballentine of McFarland, WI and son Larry (Lisa) Stewart of Eureka, MT; brothers, Hershey Prothro and James (Lou) Prothro; sisters Betty Jean Peterson and Brenda (Tommy) Mason and brother-in-law, Merle Blake. She has nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents and one sister, Pansy Blake.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at First Congregational Church in Fort Atkinson.
Friends may call at the church prior to the service from 4 to 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Martha’s name to “Lend-A-Hand” at the First Congregational Church.
The Dunlap Memorial home is assisting the family.
