Marsha Sue Dunwald

Marsha Sue Dunwald, age 54 of West Salem and formerly of La Farge, passed away to be with the Lord in her Heavenly home on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Lakeview Health Center.
She suffered a rare form of bile duct cancer that spread to her liver. Marsha was born March 5, 1960, the beautiful daughter of Lyle and Cleo (Sidie) Dunwald. She was a very hard worker at VARC in Viroqua and in the laundry department at Lakeview for many years—a job she loved. She loved life and her family, whom she was very close to. Her strong faith showed especially when she was praying in church.
Marsha was always happy and very friendly to everyone. She loved her nickname ‘Posh’. She was truly our sweet sunshine, and loved singing “You are my Sunshine”. Her hobbies included listening to the radio, singing and dancing, shopping for clothes and shoes. Attending Badger Camp was something she looked forward to. She enjoyed playing bingo and getting the blackout, winning stuffed animals, doing word find puzzles, coloring, drawing, getting her hair colored and set, getting her nails done, loved animals, watching tv and movies and cookouts. Whenever she got a card from her niece Tonya, she would show them to everyone at Lakeview. Each night she would call Gail, Kelvin, Tonya and Bobby and say “How you doin’!” and “I love you!”—and, oh, how we are all missing those calls.
Marsha was the life of the family parties. She had such energy that she would light up a room when she entered. She enjoyed her pop, coffee, popcorn, pizza and deer meat summer sausage. She was such a joy to be around, and she would make you feel like you were the greatest and most important person in the world. Whenever Gail and Tonya stopped for visits, Marsha would say “You popped in to see Posh”!. She gave the best hugs and had such a beautiful cheerful smile and laugh. Often, she would take your hand and walk with you, making you feel blessed and happy and proud to have beautiful Marsha in your life. We wish we could have had her in our lives for so much longer and to get to see her grow old into the golden years.
Survivors include her loving family:siblings: Gail (Kelvin) Jacobson of Westby Lila Dunwald of Soldiers Grove Mike Dunwald of Viroqua Russell Dunwald of Viroqua Lloyd Dunwald of Beloit Dennis (Pat) Dunwald of Sparta, special niece: Tonya Jacobson and fiance’ Bobby Compton of Westby, many other nieces and nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and other relatives and many friends.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Sherry Barclay and infant sister Penny, and brothers Bruce, Roger and Kurt.
Marsha will be in our hearts forever and we will cherish all the wonderful memories. She always told us how much she missed her loved ones that had already passed away, and now she is in Heaven with them. We know she is happy to see them all again. May God bless Marsha’s beautiful soul. We love and miss you so very much. Now you can rest in peace, our sweetheart, Marsha, in Heaven. No more suffering now. Until we meet again our sweet cutie pie.
Marsha’s family would like to Thank all the Lakeview Health Center staff for taking such great care of our sweet Marsha. She loved you all and loved living there, but always missed living back at her home in La Farge. You made her final years fun with activities and outings.
Also a special Thank you to ‘Jeremy’, Marsha’s caretaker for many years, as was Shawn Fish who still came to visit, as well as to Bonita Dorschied for her care.
May God Bless our beloved beautiful Marsha. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family and all that were blessed to have known her. She was truly amazing. The world was blessed to have Marsha in it. Heaven has gained an angel.
It broke our hearts to lose you—gone way too soon.
Private family services and burial will be held. Marsha will be laid to rest in the Home Cemetery in rural Ontario. The Seland Huston Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements
