Marion M. Foster

Marion May Foster, age 89, passed away Sun. July 30, 2017 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.

She was born May 18, 1928 to the late Orin and Lena “Helen” (Grass) Crosby. Marion was united in marriage at First United Church of Christ in Sauk City to Leonard Foster on July 7, 1956; he preceded her in death on March 29, 2000. For many years she cleaned many homes for the residents of Sauk Prairie. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and canning. Marion enjoyed embroidery, and always looked forward to having an annual garage sale, something she enjoyed for 33 years at her home on Washington St. She was a lifelong member of First United Church of Christ.

Marion is survived by her 3 children, Roger (Karen) Foster of Sauk City, Peggy (Dan) Ellefson of Spring Green, Gary (Debra) Foster of Mazomanie; many grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Theo Nelson of Sauk City and sister’s in-law, Erna and Mary Crosby; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by Leonard’s two sons, Merle and Robert Foster; 4 brothers, Orville, Russell, Cliff, and Orin Crosby; brother in-law, Hugh Nelson; and grandson, Paul Foster.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Sat. August 5, 2017 at First United Church of Christ, Sauk City. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service. A private interment will follow in the Sauk City Cemetery.
