DeForest – With great sadness, Marilyn Sue May, age 72, passed away on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022. Marilyn was born on November 9th, 1949, in Chicago, Il., to her proud parents, Floyd and Avie May. Marilyn graduated from Verona High School in 1967. Afterwards, she worked very hard throughout her life at employers that included Torque Truck Stop in Verona, bookkeeping for a private firm, Leath Furniture (1971-1996) and PDQ Stores (1996-2017) in Madison.

Marilyn loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed many days with them, laying in the sun and swimming, going to amusement parks and taking vacations. Marilyn loved to travel and go to casinos and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her favorite trips included traveling to; Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV.

Marilyn was a very loving, caring and giving person to all and had many friends. She taught everyone how to have fun, live and enjoy life.

Marilyn is survived by her sisters; Yvonne Nelson and Donna Schleig, many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Marilyn is preceded in death by; her parents Floyd and Avie May, brother Floyd May, sisters Renata Anderson, Delores Hefty, Sandra Marciniec and Linda Schulz, nephews Kevin May, Todd Schulz and Timothy Hefty, and her two dogs, Mitsy and Patches.

Visitation for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 2 – 4 p.m., at Ryan Funeral Home located at 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, WI. 53532. The visitation will be informal and all who knew Marilyn are welcome to attend. The burial and Celebration of Life events will be held at a later date. Marilyn will be remembered and missed every day. Rest In Peace Marilyn. You are very much loved and will never be forgotten.
