Marguerite Foote

Marguerite E. Foote, age 91 of Portage, Wisconsin formerly of Briggsville, Wisconsin left this earth to spend Christmas with her Lord; husband, Bill; and grandson, Adam Ingram on December 21, 2012.
Marguerite was born on January 29, 1921 in Douglas Township of Marquette County. After graduating from Portage High School she went to Ravenswood Nursing school in Chicago, Illinois and became a registered nurse. On October 2, 1943 she married the love of her life, William D. Foote. They shared 61 years together, before his death on September 4, 2004. On August 17, 1959 they brought home their daughter, Joanie. Through the years Bill and Marguerite enjoyed such activities as square dancing on horses, playing cards with friends, and horse racing. During her life she was involved in 4H, Neenah Valley Home Makers, and the Briggsville church choir. She was a nurse for Dr. Mackey, and at the Oxford Convalescent Home.
Marguerite enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren, Adam and Ashlee and great grandchildren, Landon, Tierney and Nathan. She also enjoyed talking with her friends on the telephone which got her some loving ribbing from Bill on how she never ran out of things to talk about. She was a good friend to many.
Marguerite is survived by a daughter, Joanie (Terry) Ingram of Oxford; a granddaughter, Ashlee Ingram of Oxford; great granchildren, Landon Ingram, Tierney Ingram and Nathan Chenoweth; a sister, Roberta (Jack) Johnston, Endeavor; a sister-in-law, Thelma Gay of Briggsville; nieces, nephews and close friends.
