Margaret S. Lamberty

Margaret S. Lamberty, age 92, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Four Winds Manor in Verona. She was born on October 13, 1924 in Cross Plains the first of eleven children to John and Rose (Wagner) Acker. She met the love of her life LaVerne Lamberty and they were married on February 7, 1946. They had three children from this union John, Joyce, and Ruth. She had a great love for family but really loved farming. She always had a smile when she was on a tractor. Margaret also worked away from the farm at the Dane County Nursing Home for more than 30 years. Another great joy to her was playing cards and an occasional trip to the casino.

She is survived by her children John (Marcia Hur), Verona and Ruth (Jim) Babler, Belleville, four grandchildren Tammy (Ted) Turnquist, Madison, Rick, Mt. Vernon, Clayton (Crystal), Cedar Creek, TX, and Chris (Marsha) Babler, Mt. Horeb, two great-grandchildren Travis Turnquist and Payton Babler. Margaret is further survived by her siblings Sister Haroldine Acker and Sister Elmerine Acker both of Milwaukee, Harry (Elaine) Acker and Leonard (Nancy) Acker, both of Cross Plains, sisters-in-law Delores, Susan, and Diane, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents John and Rose Acker, husband LaVerne, daughter Joyce, grandson Michael Babler, great-grandaughter Morgan Turnquist, brothers Leander, Edward, Elmer, and John Acker, sisters Milly Kelter and Sister John Rose and many other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville with the Rev. Michael Moon officiating with burial in the St. William Cemetery, Paoli.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 338 S. Harrison St., Belleville, WI.
