Margaret Anne Sanftleben

Middleton – Margaret Anne Sanftleben was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013. She was born on October 12, 1932 in the Town of Berry, the daughter of Henry Martin Walser and Florence Margaret Walser. Margaret graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1952 and achieved her Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was a teacher in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District for 43 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

Margaret displayed her faith in her daily life and she was an active member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son, Henry (Jayne) Sanftleben; her daughter, Dr. Pamela Sanftleben and James; and two grandchildren, Karl and Gretchen. Margaret is further survived by her brother Roland (Barb) Walser; and two sisters, Edith (Glenn) Manke and Paulette Grob-Crans; her sister-in-law, Ann Walser; former husband Norman Favorite; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother; father; brother, Richard Walser and former husband Morris Sanftleben.

Private family services will be held. Private burial at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Town of Berry.
