Marciel M. Schuman

Marciel M. Schuman, age 82, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at home.

She was born in Beloit on Dec. 12, 1934, the daughter of Milford and Helen (Gaserude) Haase. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1954, and had been a Janesville area resident all of her life. Marciel married Roger E. Schuman on July 7, 1956, in East Luther Valley Church, Beloit. She retired from Sears in Janesville. Marciel was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Schuman; 2 children, Vicki (Rick) Trudell of Janesville and Pam (Roger) Williams of Janesville; 3 grandchildren: Chad (Jessica) O’Leary of Milton, Jenna (Michael) Shepherd of Janesville and Ashley (Chuck) Glissendorf of Janesville; 7 great grandchildren: Kaden, Alexis, Colin, Caitlin, Jase, Madie and Fiona; brother, Harlie (Linda) Haase of Summerfield, FL; and many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Delores Ottesen.

Marcy will be remembered for her love of dolls and the time she loved to spend with her family, especially playing with the little ones. Her smile and her laugh will always be remembered.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Felix Malpica officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, and again on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Church.

A special thanks to the many doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s who cared for Marcy, and the team from Agrace Hospice.
