Manuel M. “Meño” Gomez, Jr.

Manuel M. “Meño Gomez, Jr., age 34, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Manuel was a fun, outgoing, all around great guy. He loved to fish, make everyone laugh, and mostly hang out with his family. All his children, nieces and nephews adored him and could not get enough of him as he always made time to do fun things with them, like take them to the mall or do something funny to get a laugh out of them. Manuel never hesitated to lend a helping hand,whether it was to help mom with chores or giving up his last dollar. Manuel had a charm that not even the judges could resist. He was a loving father, a funny brother, a beloved son, and a best friend to many of us. He had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother Sara; his sisters, Siria (Daniel) and Silvia (Carlos); his brothers José, Hugo (Sasha) and Ernest; his children, Manuel, Natallia and Avian; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel G. Gomez Sr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at DOOR CREEK CHURCH, 6602 Dominion Drive, with Pastor Rafael Cubilette and Pastor Kyle Glenn presiding.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
