Man who police said was with teen who went missing last week arrested
MADISON, Wis. — A man who Madison police said was traveling with a teen who was reported missing last week was arrested Friday.
Police said Paul Williams III, 36, was traveling with 17-year-old Laniyah Hampton when she was reported missing on Thursday. An AMBER Alert was issued for Hampton and she was later found safe.

Police said Williams had warrants out for his arrest. He was arrested Friday afternoon off of Lakeside Street on Madison’s south side.
He faces charges stemming from the outstanding warrants, and police said he also faces new charges after controlled substances were allegedly found during his arrest. The case that prompted the AMBER Alert remains open.
