Man told he might get shot if he keeps seeing woman, police say
A Deerfield man told police that he was pumping gas Saturday when an armed man told him he might get shot if he continues seeing a particular woman.
The 30-year-old told police the incident was reported Saturday night at the Mobil gas station at 3019 E. Washington Ave. He said the man lifted up his shirt to show him a handgun tucked into his pants when he made the threat.
The victim crashed into the man’s car after the man used it to block an exit. Police said the man was able to get away.
The man told police that he believes that the armed man was his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.
