Man suspected of displaying fake handgun

MADISON, Wis. — A man was arrested after displaying a fake handgun to an employee of a mobile phone repair shop, according to a release from Madison police.
The 28-year-old employee at Boost Mobile at 1903 S. Park St. told police he got into an argument Monday afternoon with a would-be customer who wanted a phone repaired, but was unhappy when the employee said it wasn’t possible.
The man left and then reappeared, displaying a gun while remaining outside. The employee said he was asked to come outside, but instead he called 911.
Police got a description of the man and found him a couple hours later in the same area.
Michael Young, 51, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct while armed.
Police said they found a facsimile firearm.
