Man suffers ‘incapacitating injury’ in Grant County crash, deputies say

MADISON, Wis. — A Dubuque man suffered an “incapacitating injury” Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash in Grant County, officials said.
Jonathan Duffey, 38, was driving his 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix south just before noon on Highway 35 just north of the Illinois state line, according to a release.
Duffey fell asleep while going around a curve and left the road, hitting an Alliant Energy utility pole, investigators said.
Duffey suffered an “incapacitating injury,” and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, according to the release.
He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, investigators said.
