Man staying at California hotel uses local man’s credit card, deputies say

MADISON, Wis. — A man staying at a hotel in California was arrested after a town of Vienna man reported suspicious activity on his credit card, according to a release from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
The 35-year-old victim called deputies on Saturday when he saw that his credit card had been used at a hotel in Rancho Cordova, California.
A deputy called the hotel and asked if the person who used the credit card was staying there. The man was still there and was identified as Rashad Saeed Lewis, 37, of Oakland, California.
The deputy called the Rancho Cordova Police Department and asked them to check on Lewis. Police said Lewis was found in possession of several suspicious documents and credit cards. Lewis was out on $2 million bail for human trafficking. He was arrested for bail jumping.
Additional charges of credit card fraud will be referred in Dane County.
