Man slashed with box cutter during bar disturbance

A man was cut with a box cutter during a disturbance at Legends Sports Bar on Madison’s west side early Sunday morning, according to a release.
Bouncers were trying to detain Sidney R. Ivy around 1:20 a.m., police said.
Philippa P. Miles, Ivy’s friend, pulled out a box cutter and slashed the upper arm of a man at the bar, causing a significant laceration, according to the release.
The bouncers detained Ivy and Miles until police arrived, officials said. The man who was injured was taken to a hospital for surgery.
Ivy was arrested for the initial disturbance, and Miles was arrested for causing injury to the victim, police said.
