Man shot at while at Verona Road gas pump, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A man was shot at while standing near a gas pump Monday at a gas station on Verona Road, according to a release from Madison police.
The 34-year-old man told police he was at the BP gas station at 4501 Verona Road when at about 10 p.m. someone began shooting toward the gas pumps from the side of the building.
Witnesses and officers nearby heard the gunshots. Shell casings were found at the scene.
A bullet struck the man’s vehicle. No one was injured.
