Man robs pair in park at gunpoint, police say
Robber stole wallets, cellphones

MONROE, Wis. — A man robbed a pair at gunpoint in a Monroe park Thursday night, police said.
The Monroe Police Department said officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in Recreation Park between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Police received the report of the robbery at 11:28 p.m., the report noted.
Police said a man approached two men at the park, showed them a small-caliber handgun and demanded their wallets and cellphones. The robber fled the scene on foot heading north out of the park.
Police said the victims were not injured in the robbery.
