Man robs gas station, image released
Police provide description of robber

MONONA, Wis. — Monona police are releasing the image of a man who robbed a gas station Sunday afternoon.
The robber entered the Speedway Gas Station at 5450 Monona Dr. just before 5 p.m. and demanded cash, according to police. The man didn’t display a weapon or threaten the use of one.
The man is described as about 6 feet tall with an average build, brown hair and stubble beard. He was wearing white and black tennis shoes, gray sweatpants, a Wisconsin Badgers hooded sweatshirt with the word “Wisconsin” written across the front, white sunglasses and a baseball cap with a plaid pattern.
Police said the robber fled north through the parking lot and might have gotten into a red car nearby.
