Man rips cash register from counter, steals cash from east side Subway

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are looking for a man who they say ripped a cash register off a counter at an east side Subway restaurant Monday night.
Police said officers were called to the Subway restaurant at 4416 Pflaum Road at 7:58 p.m. for an alarm. Staff told officers that a man ripped the cash register off the counter and fled the restaurant on foot, possibly into a vehicle parked nearby.
Police said the man is described as black, around 6 feet 2 inches tall, between 30 and 45 years old with a shaved head and stubble. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police said they are unsure if the robbery is related to another robbery at a Subway on Madison’s west side Monday evening , but noted that the suspect descriptions in each robbery are different.
