A Madison-area man has pleaded guilty to a charge in the death of his girlfriend’s 2-month-old son last year.

Corey L. Holly, 25, of Fitchburg pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree reckless homicide for causing the death of Cory Pulliam on Feb. 23, 2015.

A criminal complaint stated Holly told police that he “lost it” and squeezed the boy because he wouldn’t stop crying. Court documents reported the boy died from blunt force trauma to the torso.

Under a plea agreement, Deputy District Attorney Corey Stephan can seek up to 20 years in prison when Holly is sentenced later by Dane County Circuit Judge David Flanagan.

Holly is currently serving prison sentences until 2021 for robbery convictions after his parole for them was revoked.
