Man pistol-whipped on the east side

MADISON, Wis. — A 39-year-old man said he was pistol-whipped on the 3400 block of North Sherman Avenue Monday evening, according to a police report.
The victim told police he was confronted by three men, one who he believes he knows but only by nickname. The trio did not take any property from the victim, according to the report.
The victim suspects the attack stemmed from a feud he had with one of the men from about six years ago, police said.
The nicknamed individual is described as a 250-pound black man. The other two suspects are described as black men. The victim did not give a description of clothing or age, according to the report.
The suspects are not considered to be a threat to the public at this time, police said.
