Man knocked out by ‘new acquaintance,’ police say

MADISON, Wis. — A 23-year-old Madison man was knocked out and robbed early Friday morning after leaving a bar, police said.
The man was leaving a bar around 2:10 a.m. with four people he told police he had just met, according to a release.
While the group was walking in the 400 block of Hawthorne Court, one of the other men punched the victim, police said.
When the 23-year-old regained consciousness, he realized his wallet and phone were gone, according to the release.
