Man hosting party finds burglars in bedroom
A downtown Madison man hosting a party on Monday found burglars in his bedroom, police said.
The Madison Police Department said a 27-year-old Dayton Row resident was hosting a party on the second floor of his residence at about 12:45 a.m. Monday when he heard the first floor main entrance doors open.
No one came to the second floor, so after a few minutes passed, he decided to investigate, according to the report. He discovered two burglars in his bedroom, yelled at them and they fled with some of his money and electronics.
Police said the main entrance door of the Dayton Row home had been left unlocked to facilitate the arrival and departure of invited guests.
