Man found asleep in stranger’s car had heroin on him, police say

A Reedsburg man found sleeping in a stranger’s vehicle early Friday was arrested on a drug charge, police said.

The Reedsburg Police Department said a resident in the 500 block of Third Street came out to his unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway and found a man asleep in it at 7 a.m..

The homeowner called police, and officers arrested Ramon T. Purifoy, 41, of Reedsburg.

Police said Purifoy was in possession of heroin and he was unsure how he got into the vehicle.

Purifoy faces charges of possession of heroin and bail jumping.

Purifoy was taken to the Sauk County Jail, where he is being held until he makes his court appearance, according to the report.
