Man detained after running through plane naked

A man traveling from Seattle to Anchorage via an Alaska Airlines flight was tackled after he began running from the front of the plane to the back naked, waving and yelling.

According to The Associated Press, former Alaska state Sen. Johnny Ellis was onboard the aircraft and watched the situation unfold. Ellis tweeted that two large men tackled the naked man and locked him in the bathroom.

Alaska Airlines spokeswoman Bobbie Egan said the man was detained shortly before the plane’s descent into Anchorage and was removed from the aircraft after the plane had parked.

The man was subsequently transported to a local hospital.
