Man cut in neck, arm during fight, police say
A 50-year-old homeless man suffered cuts to his neck and arm during a fight with another man early Monday morning, according to a release from Madison police.
Police said the fight took place in some woods near the 1000 block of North Sherman Avenue after the men were out socializing and drinking.
The victim told police Terry J. Buttke, 33, pulled out a box cutter during a disagreement and slashed him. Police said the cuts were not deep, and he was treated at a hospital. He also suffered head injuries from being punched.
Buttke was arrested on suspicion of second-degree reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon.
