A man convicted of attacking and sexually assaulting a jogger in 2013 was sentenced Friday to 20 years of confinement and 15 years of extended supervision.

Adore Thomas was charged with five felony counts as an adult, including three counts of first-degree sexual assault with the use of a dangerous weapon, aggravated battery and strangulation. He was found guilty in January.

He didn’t speak at sentencing.

A criminal complaint said a woman was running on Winnebago Street and was approached by Thomas when he grabbed her from behind and slammed her to the ground. She tried to use her pepper spray to stop him, but it didn’t work.
