Man attacked, robbed outside UW residence hall, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A man was attacked and robbed Monday outside a University of Wisconsin residence hall, according to a release from UW-Madison police.
The victim told police he was wrestled to the ground around 9:30 p.m. outside Elizabeth Waters Residence Hall. He said two people attacked him and stole his backpack.
Police said the victim knows at least one of the attackers.
The attackers fled the area before police arrived, according to the release.
Officials do not believe the attackers are affiliated with UW-Madison.
Police ask anyone with information on the attack to call 608-264-COPS.
