Man arrested on suspicion of 3rd offense OWI with child in the car

DEFOREST, Wis. — A Chicago man was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol DeForest Post on suspicion of third-offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence with a child younger than 16 years old in the car.
At 10 p.m. Monday, officials responded to a report that the driver of a Buick hit a guardrail on 1-39/90 and continued driving. The car eventually came to a stop on the off-ramp next to Exit 142a.
Officers found Herbert Brown was operating under the influence and that his 8-year-old niece was in the car.
The girl was picked up by her mother.
