Man Arrested In Adams County Stabbing

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in a stabbing early Christmas morning, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff’s officials said they received a 911 call about 2:20 a.m. Sunday from 3819 9th Ave. in the Town of Dell Prairie reporting a man who had been stabbed.

The caller said that Harold Mason, 51, had been stabbed by Zachary Beers, 24, the sheriff’s office said.

Mason was transported to a hospital in Baraboo and later flown to UW Hospital in Madison for treatment of his wounds. His condition was reported to be critical, sheriff’s officials said.

After an initial investigation, sheriff’s officials said Beers was taken into custody at the Adams County Jail on charges of first-degree reckless injury, battery domestic and disorderly conduct.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office said the incident remains under investigation.
