Man admits to damaging business, now in custody

MADISON, Wis.– A man is in custody after admitting to causing damage to a Madison business Sunday night.

According to the Madison Police Department, an officer was on a routine patrol when he noticed a man laying on the ground next to his wheelchair in front of Discount Tire on Verona Road.

The officer also noticed the windows of the business were had been damaged and asked if the man if he damaged them.

Police said the man admitted to damaging the glass windows and that he needed to go to jail.

The man was arrested and taken to jail.

A total of six panes of glass and the glass pane to the front door were damaged.
